Have you noticed something in recent years? Does it look like we as a society have lost our way? We have. We’ve lost our way because we have no vision to which we collectively aspire. The churches are weak. They have been dominated by the secular culture around them. Their attempts at relevancy and “coolness” have only served to alienate them further from the larger society.
The Bible says in Hosea 4:6 that, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:…” This site is an attempt to change that. We want to paint a real picture of what could be. We want to remind people of what they are giving up. We want to show people what freedom really looks like.
We want to address one misconception up front: Freedom is not anarchy. We don’t fully subscribe to the Libertarian principle of individual rights “so long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else.” We’ve tried that experiment divorced from God. It hasn’t worked. Pluralism and Secularism does not work. Locke, and later Rousseau, laid the foundations for a purely secular state. We contend that true freedom only comes with a responsibility to one another and an ultimate submission to the creator God, Jehovah.
This site is dedicated to understanding what freedom might look like in a civilized, Christian society. We make no apologies for advocating the Biblical Christian perspective. The authors of these articles are all Christians. What we hope to highlight is not a return to a mythical past. That “Christian America” never existed. Instead, the goal is to take the bad news stories of the week and show how a Christian application to those news events would change the perspective.
It is idealized, but this is not The Onion. It’s not meant to be tongue-in-cheek. This is an attempt at a serious look at what society could be like with a predominantly Christian majority.
Finally, we want to point people to again be self-governing. We believe the best way to do that is to bow the knee to Jesus Christ first, government second. When we walk in righteousness, less government is needed. This is what has been lost in our society. We echo the words of John Adams:
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

If we can paint the picture of freedom clearly, we might see our way clear to return to it.
